The Castle Hotel and award winning Reform Restaurant, Lincoln are offering Christmas Hampers for the first time this year for collection or delivery within a 10 mile radius. Everything is made fresh on site to our usual high standards and using our professional techniques to provide restaurant standard food in your own home this Christmas.
All our meats use a method called “sous vide” which is effectively a water bath where meats are cooked vacuum packed with seasoning at a low temperature for a long period. This means the meat retains all its flavour, no weight loss and is moist and tender once served. All is required is a relatively quick roast in the oven to finish off the cooking process.
This is a technique we use daily in our restaurant and is highly regarded as the best method to cook slow roasting meats. This saves significant time so you can enjoy the day without the long slog we are all used to when not eating out or when we simply want to stay at home but make things a little easier without compromising on quality.
We have designed the menu for six people as we don’t know where we might be in December but other number of guests and portion sizes are available on request. Currently we still hope to be open for Christmas Day as usual but we wanted to offer an alternative option during the festive period. All dishes will be provided with cooking instructions.

Homemade “pigs in blankets” – 2 per person wrapped in streaky bacon
Homemade stuffing balls with sage and onion – one large serving each
Award winning Pork Pie from Wards of Ruskington – 1lb for a hungry 6 people
Homemade Piccalilli
Homemade Cranberry Sauce with port, red wine and orange juice
Our famous jus gravy for 6 people and more
Christmas puddings x 6

Local Roast Beef served medium rare – this beef has been in the Sous Vide for 12 hours and is served in Reform every Sunday and is a firm favourite with our guests

Collection is preferred at the hotel from the 20th December as all produce will be fresh and will last for at least 10 days. For those who would prefer delivery we can do so from the 20th December up to and including the 23rd December.
We are taking orders from now up to the 17th December.

Payments will need to be made in full at the time of ordering and this is non-refundable from the time of booking. Delivery times and costs will be arranged where required closer to the time but we would prefer collection if possible.
